Protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Notice governs our data collection and usage through the Service (as defined below). The FairComp website is a recruiting technology site. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Notice.

FairComp offers a proprietary marketplace (the “Platform”) which connects consultants (each, a “Consultant”) and companies, businesses and entrepreneurs (each, a “Business”) for engagements to provide professional, consultative and advisory services (collectively, “Project Services”). The Platform is offered through our websites, faircomp.io and app.faircomp.io (together with any additional or successor websites, “Website”). We'll collectively refer to the Platform, the Website, and any content, functionality, materials and services available or offered on or through the Platform or the Website as the “Service.”

Collection of your Personal Information

In order to provide you with products and services offered by our Service, FairComp may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • First and Last Name
  • Mailing Address
  • E-mail Address
  • Phone Number

If you are a paying customer, we may collect credit card and/or other billing information. This will only be shared with third party payment providers to facilitate transactions you have authorized.

FairComp may also collect anonymous compensation information, which is not unique to you, such as your:

  • Title
  • Compensation information (salary, hourly rate, commission structure, etc)
  • Employer infromation

FairComp anonymizes all compensation information and does not share personally identifiable compensation information with any third parties.

FairComp may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Race
  • Religion
  • Political Affiliation

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services available through the Service. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your payment information. FairComp collects and uses your personal information to operate its Servics and deliver the services you have requested. FairComp may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from FairComp.

FairComp does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. FairComp may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, process invoices and payments, or provide customer support. FairComp may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within the Service, in order to determine which FairComp products and services are the most popular. We use this data to deliver customized content and advertising to users whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by FairComp. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the Service, to maintain quality of the Service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Website.

FairComp does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, please do not use the Service.

From time to time, FairComp may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. In order to improve our Services, we may receive a notification when you open an email from FairComp or click on a link therein. If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from FairComp, you may opt out of such communications by managing contact preferences in your account profile.

We may store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted.

FairComp reserves the right to change this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our Website, and/or by updating this Privacy Notice. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Notice; and (b) agreement to be bound by the modified Privacy Notice.
